Kerala’s first International graduation college, the Grace International Academy (GIA) was set up in the year 2019 and is affiliated to the University of Kerala and is located in the foothills of the Western Ghats, in Kollam district.
GIA, Punalur is run by a registered charitable self-financing trust known as the Palakunnathu Foundation. The foundation focuses on shaping many young minds by imparting comprehensive, vibrant and innovative learning programmes. The governing body of the institute comprises the most accomplished intellectuals, representatives of the industry and professors from across the globe.
The college offers programmes like B.Com (Finance), B.Com (Computer Application) and B.B.A and unlike other colleges, the GIA curriculum includes add-on courses as well. The same was introduced to enable students to think outside the box and become industry-ready. The teaching methodology adopted by the academy is based on central coordination between academic and industry experts and give real-life exposure and expert guidance.
GIA’s sprawling 12-acre campus includes a total of 14 classrooms and office buildings along with an amphitheatre, residential facilities for both teachers and students, basketball and tennis courts, expanded athletic fields, digital library with e-books and journals, fully-equipped computer labs, cafeteria and digital classrooms. The entire campus is WiFi-enabled.
In addition, the institute is the first college in Kerala to offer internships to students and one of the most important aspects of the institute’s curriculum is skill development programs such as the CIMA courses, ACCA, etc.
